An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Captain Applejack, the 1931 Hobart Henley old-dark-house romantic crime comedy ("He saves the day for the Applejacks ...and the night for romance!"; based on the play by Walter C. Hackett; about a rich Englishman who is planning on selling his castle and seeking adventure, and the last night he is there, a group of strange people all show up, including some crooks who find a treasure map and think that one of his ancestors left a treasure hidden in the castle, and there are lots of other silly subplots) starring Mary Brian, John Halliday, Kay Strozzi, Alec B. Francis, and Claude Allister. Note that this movie is a remake of 1923's Strangers of the Night, starring Matt Moore and Enid Bennett. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that there are two cracks in the lower left corner of the glass. One slightly extends into the edge of the image. Other than the cracks, the slide is in quite nice condition. Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: good. This glass slide has clear condition problems that causes it to be in less than "very good" condition. We do NOT describe those defects in words (UNLESS the defect is a crack in one or both panes of the slide, in which case we ALWAYS describe it elsewhere within the auction in words), and you can likely see some or all of them in the "large" and "super-sized" images we provide. If you are the sort who can accept a major defect, then you should bid on items in this condition grade, BUT PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THESE ITEMS UNLESS YOU CAN ACCEPT THEIR VERY CLEAR DEFECTS!
