An Original Vintage German Cigarette Card Album (measures 9 1/2" x 11 1/4" [24 x 29 cm]; containing 312 cards on 60 pages) (Learn More)

Der Kunstlerische Tanz (literally translates to "The Artistic Dance"), the 1930s German cigarette card album featuring 60 pages of 312 tipped-in cigarette premium cards of popular dancers (from all over the world, divided by the country they are from) including: Anna Pavlova, Isadora Duncan, Gret Palucca, Vera Fokin, Tilly Losch, and many, many more! Also included is a 4-page index to all the cards. There are glassine sheets inserted between each sheet of cards so that they don't rub against each other (this is how the album was created)

Important Added Info: Note that we are also auctioning a different cigarette card album called "Die Tanzbuhnen der Welt", which is very similar to this one, but with all different dancers. We imagine one of these is a sequel to the other, but we don't know which came first. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: good to very good. There is some damage around the edges of both covers (caused by some kind of cover that was once glued over the front and back), but otherwise, the album is in really nice condition!
