An Undated (probably 1960s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Photobusta Movie Poster (pbusta; measures 18 3/4" x 26 1/2" [48 x 67 cm]) (Learn More) John Ford's My Darling Clementine, the classic 1946 John Ford Tombstone Arizona romantic cowboy western (based on a story by Sam Hellman from the book 'Wyatt Earp, Frontier Marshal' by Stuart N. Lake; about the legendary showdown between the Earp Brothers and the Clantons in Tombstone, including the gunfight at the OK Corral) starring Henry Fonda (as Wyatt Earp), Linda Darnell (as Chihuahua), Victor Mature (as Doc Holliday), Walter Brennan (as "Old Man Clanton"), Tim Holt (as Virgil Earp), Cathy Downs (in the title role, as Clementine Carter), John Ireland (as Billy Clanton), Ward Bond (as Morgan Earp), Alan Mowbray, Roy Roberts, Jane Darwell, Grant Withers, J. Farrell MacDonald, and Russell Simpson. Note that 20th Century-Fox was apparently uneasy about spending so much money on a western, and to hedge their bets, they strongly pushed sexy Linda Darnell in the title role, and they even made a teaser 24-sheet, which solely showed sexy Linda Darnell, and which had the tagline "Men are lost and gone forever when they go for Clementine!". Important Added Info: Note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. We used our best information to date this poster, but we can't always guarantee that the Italian posters we sell are not from an unmarked re-release, but this will only prove to be true in a very tiny number of cases. Also note that this poster was folded across the middle at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. There is a series of small holes that form numbers at top center, typical of Italian posters of this period. There are some minor creases and scuffs scattered throughout the poster.
