He acted in a number of German movies in the 1920s and early 1930s, and he came to the U.S. and began making movies there in 1942. Some of his movies include: Lifeboat, The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm, Born to Kill, and Treasure Island. He passed away in 1983 at the age of 80. Important Added Info: Note that this book has been personally autographed (signed) by Walter Slezak! Our consignor received this book from a friend who acquired it in 1962 at a book signing, and Slezak signed this for his friend. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signature is authentic. Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
