An Original Vintage Folded World War II Poster (measures 14" x 20" [36 x 51 cm]) (Learn More)

Mine America's Coal, the 1944 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("'...we'll make it hot for the enemy'"; "See your United States Employment Service"; "War Manpower Commission") encouraging people to seek jobs in the coal mining industry, and featuring Norman Rockwell artwork of a smiling coal miner. Note that this was done at a time when "coal" was considered one of America's greatest "friends", because it supplied the energy needed for America's factories. Many decades later, coal would become the "enemy" of environmentalists, and they wanted to end the coal industry, a complete reversal of the 1944 view of coal!
