An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's The Trouble With Harry, the 1955 Alfred Hitchcock mystery crime black comedy ("The unexpected from Hitchcock!"; "Screenplay by John Michael Hayes"; "Based on the Novel by Jack Trevor Story"; about a group of people in a small New England town who find a body in the woods, and all suspect themselves of having something to do with the death) starring Edmund Gwenn, John Forsythe, Shirley MacLaine (billed as "introducing Shirley MacLaine"; in her first movie role!), Jerry Mathers, Royal Dano, Mildred Natwick, Mildred Dunnock, and Philip Truex (uncredited; in the title role as Harry) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: very good. The poster had minor wear along the foldlines and some small tears in the upper half of the right blank border. There were a few smudges scattered in the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that the restorer left an excess border of paper around the edge of the insert (usually paperbacked items are given no excess paper, but the restorer chose to leave some; any restorer or talented amateur could easily trim off the excess paper if the new owner so desired).
