Put at least 10% of every pay into War Bonds!") encouraging citizens to contribute 10% of their paycheck to war bonds. Note that this poster features parody art of the Nazi leaders Adolf Hitler, Hermann Goring, and Joseph Goebbels saying that Hitler is happy because he thought Americans were investing in "Bunds" instead of "bonds"! Also, note that it has been suggested that the art on this poster was created by Dr. Seuss (who created several war posters). However, we can find no evidence to support this and an expert tells us that it is certainly not his work. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had a few small tears in the borders and in the middle yellow background area, and there are tears in the lower right border extending into the yellow background. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
