Kenton Universal monster horror thriller sequel ("New Thrills as the monster stalks again!"; "Original Story, Eric Taylor"; the fourth Universal Frankenstein movie after the three 1930s classics; in this entry, Bela Lugosi as Ygor resurrects the Frankenstein monster and takes him to the doctor's son and they must find a new brain!) starring Cedric Hardwicke (billed as "Sir Cedric Hardwicke"; as Dr. Ludwig Frankenstein), Ralph Bellamy, Lionel Atwill (as Doctor Bohmer), Bela Lugosi (as Ygor), Evelyn Ankers (as Elsa Frankenstein), Lon Chaney Jr. (as the Frankenstein monster), Holmes Herbert, and Janet Ann Gallow NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we previously auctioned a title card from this movie in 1993 (when we were consigned a complete set). We auctioned a second title card by itself in 2004. We have not had another example of this title card in the 14 years since! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. The card had three small tears in the bottom border, one in the right border, and two in the upper left border. The higher one in the left border had a 1 1/2" crease that extended from it. Someone put small pieces of tape on the back of those tears, and the card also had two pieces of paper tape on the back of the top center that were not put there for a restoration purpose. The card had some tiny pinholes scattered around the edges and had two in the "K" of "FRANKENSTEIN" and one in the background to the right of the word "THE". The card has some smudges in the blank borders and a tiny number "6" written in the top left corner. Other than the tape on the back, the card has had no restoration. The card will display well on the new owner's wall (especially since most of the defects are in the blank borders, or certainly, restoration could be performed. Learn More about condition grades
