An Original Vintage Board Game (measures 10 1/4" x 20" [26 x 51 cm]) (Learn More) George Gobel was a stand-up comedian and actor from the 1950s to the 1980s. He started as a singer with cowboy bands in the 1930s, and was known as "Little George Gobel". After service in World War II, he got his own TV show ("The George Gobel Show"), and with his trademark brush cut and his "every man" persona, he became very popular as "Lonesome George" Gobel. After Charlie Weaver died, he replaced him as the "center square" on TV's "Hollywood Squares". Some of his movies include: I Married a Woman, Rabbit Test, and Ellie. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 71. Condition: good. The box has some water staining (but the contents are in better condition).
