Bonnie and Clyde (released in some countries as "Gangster Story"), the classic 1967 Arthur Penn (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) romantic action gangster crime biography ("They're young... They're in love ...and they kill people."; "They met in 1930. She was stark naked, yelling at him out the window while he tried to steal her mother's car. In a matter of minutes they robbed a store, fired a few shots and then stole somebody else's car. At that point, they had not yet been introduced."; "They were the strangest damned gang you ever heard of."; "They put together the strangest damned gang you ever heard of."; "Written by David Newman and Robert Benton"; "Clyde was the leader. Bonnie wrote poetry. C.W. was a Myrna Loy fan who had a bluebird tattooed on his chest. Buck told corny jokes and carried a Kodak. Blanche was a preacher's daughter who kept her fingers in her ears during the gunfights. They played checkers and photographed each other incessantly. On Sunday nights, they listened to Eddie Cantor on the radio. All in all, they killed 18 people. They were the strangest damned gang you ever heard of."; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; based on the real life exploits of Bonnie & Clyde) starring Warren Beatty (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Clyde Barrow), Faye Dunaway (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Bonnie Parker), Michael J. Important Added Info: Note that this script is the final draft from September 6, 1966 and the screenplay was written by David Newman and Robert Benton. It was received from the Writer's Guild of America, which has an explanation on the cover page saying that it is "to be used in the course of face to face teaching", etc., and that "no reproduction is to be made of this script". It is copied from a final draft from 9/6/66, and it has revisions through 12/21/66, but they are all printed on the same paper, so it was definitely made after 12/21/66, but we would be very surprised if it was made after the 1970s. Note that this script was consigned to us directly from director/screenwriter Charles Shyer. Mr. Shyer is the director of many extremely popular movies from the 1970s to the present, many of which are romantic comedies, including House Calls, Private Benjamin, Baby Boom, remakes of Father of the Bride and The Parent Trap, and many others. Over the years, he collected scripts, which he received primarily in two different ways. He was friends with screenwriters, directors, and producers during those years, and they would sometimes send him scripts of their movies to get his opinion of them, and many of those are offered here. In addition, as a member of the screenwriter's branch of the Academy, he was sent many scripts where the producers hoped that their script would be nominated for a Best Screenwriting Academy Award, and many of these have "for your consideration" printed on the cover. This is a rare opportunity to purchase original scripts that come directly from the personal collection of a prominent director/screenwriter!

Condition: good to very good. There are stains on the covers, but otherwise, the script is in nice condition! Note that we have photographed the cover of the script, the title page, the final page of the script (the one that reads "THE END"), and one or more interior pages. These images will not only provide important information about the script, but they also allow you to closely judge the condition of the script. The script is 100% complete!
