Tierpark Berlin (literally translates to "Animal Park Berlin") is one of two zoos located in Berlin, Germany. It was founded in 1955 in what was East Berlin, as a counterpart of the famous Berlin Zoological Garden in West Berlin. Tierpark Berlin is located in Friedrichsfelde on the former grounds of Friedrichsfelde Palace, which is situated within the zoo. It is the largest zoo in Europe, and features over 8000 animals (from 650 species) on 160 hectares.

Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a wonderful collection of 22 German posters from the Tierpark Berlin Zoo that we were consigned, and are currently auctioning in 22 separate auctions! Over the last two years we auctioned two other collections of zoo posters (but all three came to us from three different consignors) and the previous two collections mostly auctioned for prices between $100 and $300 per poster. What is really wonderful about this new selection of 22 zoo posters it that we have NEVER auctioned 11 of these 22 posters before (and of course none of those 11 were in either of the past two collections)! This is a very rare opportunity to purchase any or all of these excellent posters which will look great displayed on the wall! Note that we were able to date some of these exactly and some we had to guess at. If anyone knows the exact dates of the ones we did not date exactly, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
