An Original Vintage 7 1/4" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] Radio Still (Learn More) Amos 'n' Andy, the famous 1928 - 1955 comedy radio show (about two African American best friends and their families), starring Charles Correll (as "Andy") and Freeman F. Gosden (as "Amos"). Note that in 1930, there was a movie based on the radio show, with Correll and Gosden playing the lead roles in blackface. In 1943, a TV show version was added and it ran until 1955 (when both the TV and the radio show ended), and of course, being on TV, black actors played the parts. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 7 1/4" x 9" [18 x 23 cm], but it has not been trimmed.
UPDATED 02/17/2014: Note that a knowledgeable collector pointed out that this is a circa 1930s still advertising the radio program and NOT a still from the 1950s promoting the TV program as we initially listed.
