It was founded in 1955 in what was East Berlin, as a counterpart of the famous Berlin Zoological Garden in West Berlin. Tierpark Berlin is located in Friedrichsfelde on the former grounds of Friedrichsfelde Palace, which is situated within the zoo. It is the largest zoo in Europe, and features over 8000 animals (from 650 species) on 160 hectares. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good.
