An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Daughters Courageous, the 1939 Michael Curtiz family sister romantic melodrama semi-sequel ("It's another 'Four Daughters' hit!"; "And they're gayer than ever, sweeter than ever, better than ever before!"; "Here's a New and Better Picture with That Couldn't- Be- Better Cast!"; "Those gay young 'Four Daughters' stars once more bring you the year's most lovable hit!"; about a mother with four daughters whose husband deserted her when they were young, and she is about to be re-married, and her long-lost husband returns, and tries to win her back, but when he sees one of his daughters falling for a younger version of himself, he has second thoughts) starring John Garfield, Claude Rains, Jeffrey Lynn, Fay Bainter, Donald Crisp, May Robson, Priscilla Lane, Rosemary Lane, Lola Lane, and Gale Page (the Lane sisters and Gale Page are collectively billed as "The Four Daughters"). Note that this movie was not quite a sequel to "Four Daughters". It had some of the same characters, but centered around a different family, and John Garfield, who had appeared in the earlier movie, plays a different character in this one! Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned four first release lobby cards from this movie, but we have never before auctioned this card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. The card has darkened, typical of Warner Bros. linen lobby cards of this period. There is water staining down the right 1" of the card, with some pinholes, creases, scuffs, and a few tiny tears around the edges, and tiny paper loss in the top left corner.
