An Original Vintage French Campaign Book (measures 11 3/4" x 15 1/2" [30 x 39 cm]; 39 pages) (Learn More)

Jacques Haik 1932-33, the 1932 French campaign book sent to theater owners to encourage them to show Jacques Haik movies. Jacques Haik was a Jewish man born in French-controlled Tunisia in 1893, and he moved to Paris around 1930 and built up a chain of theaters, and in 1931, made his own production company, Les Etablissements Jacques Haik, which produced French movies in the early 1930s. He made the anti-Nazi "My Crimes After Mein Kampf", and when the Germans invaded France, he left France and supported the Free French. After the war, he returned to France and film production, and he passed away in 1950. This campaign book was made when his production company produced many films in 1932, and naturally, all of the films are French, and they include Le Cardinal Masque, an early Sherlock Holmes movie, and an unnamed film to star Michel Simon, among many others.
