An Original Vintage French Campaign Book (measures 9 1/2" x 12 1/2" [24 x 32 cm]; 18 pages) (Learn More)

United Artists 1929-30, the 1929 French campaign book featuring full-page ads for upcoming U.S. United Artists films that were about to be released in France and full-page images of some of the stars of those films. All of the pages are printed in a single color, except that the stars' names and movie titles are in a different color. This book is surely incredibly rare!
Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned this campaign book before. Not only that, but all French campaign books from before World War II are unbelievably rare (no doubt for the same reason that French posters from the same time are, which is that there were giant paper shortages in France during World War II). In all our years of auctioning, we have only auctioned a total three French campaign books prior to this set of auctions, and we have two of them in this set of auctions, for a total of five (the other one is in a separate auction).

Condition: good to very good. There are stains around the edges of the cover and some small stains on the rest of the cover and on the back cover. The interior pages are generally in nice condition, except for the two pages that have full images of Swanson and Chaplin, and those have some smudges in the background areas and a faint scuff over Swanson's face (see our images).
