An Original Vintage Theatrical English Promotional Movie Brochure (measures 10 1/4" x 12 1/2" [26 x 32 cm]; 9 pages) (Learn More)

Scrooge, the 1935 Henry Edwards English Christmas holiday fantasy family melodrama ("Based on 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens") starring Seymour Hicks (in the title role as Ebenezer Scrooge; billed as "Sir Seymour Hicks"), Donald Calthrop (as Bob Cratchit), Robert Cochran, Mary Glynne, Garry Marsh, Philip Frost (as Tiny Tim), Oscar Asche (as the Spirit of Christmas Present), Marie Ney (as the Spirit of Christmas Past), and C.V. France (as the Spirit of Christmas Future). Note that three years after this movie, MGM made "A Christmas Carol" with Reginald Owen, and in 1951, there was an English version with Alastair Sim. Movie posters from both of those movies are quite rare, but posters from this 1935 Paramount version are beyond rare!

Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a window card (we auctioned the same card twice), a one-sheet (which sold for $2,550), and some stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this promotional brochure!
