She was a real life opera star who was drafted into movies after the great success of Jeanette MacDonald, and for her first one, she was given "I Dream Too Much" in 1935, with music by Jerome Kern, who had composed the music for the hit movie "Roberta" the year before. But she only appeared in three more movies between 1935 and 1937, and then returned to opera singing. She passed away in 1976 at the age of 77. Important Added Info: Note that RKO created this "photo album" to send to theaters to promote this opera star who they had signed to a contract.
