Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 9 3/4" x 13 1/4" [25 x 34 cm]. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Finally, note that this lobby card has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the lobby card was backed onto a very light paper backing (acid-free), that keeps the "feel" of the lobby card similar to that of the original lobby card. Some restorers prefer to paperback lobby cards on to a heavy backing, while others prefer to use a very lightweight backing. The advantage of a lightweight backing is that the card still "feels" like a regular lobby card, but a heavier backing makes restoration easier to do and less noticeable. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. Prior to paperbacking, most of the blank borders were trimmed off. It also had a 2" x 2" square of paper loss in the bottom left corner that affected the background and the writing below it. It had pinholes and a tear in the top left corner. There are some scuffs scattered in the card. Someone paperbacked the card, but without replacing the missing blank borders. They did replace the missing area at bottom left, and they recreated what was missing, but it is obvious it is a replacement. The card displays pretty well, but it has significant defects, so bear those in mind before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
