Date Sold 11/21/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Autographed Movie Script (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], 117 pages) (Learn More) Diamond Queen, the 1953 John Brahm romantic India action adventure thriller ("At the savage end of a thousand-mile safari... The 'Coronation Gem' and the Kiss-Starved Love-Jewel of the Jungle!"; "All in thrilling color!"; "When a king's coronation had to wait for the love-jewel of a jungle beauty!") starring Fernando Lamas, Arlene Dahl, Gilbert Roland, Sheldon Leonard, Jay Novello, and Michael Ansara. Note that right before this movie was made, Fernando Lamas and Arlene Dahl were both very recently divorced (both a matter or weeks before the filming of this movie started). They co-starred in this movie, and then the following year they married each other! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this script (which was Arlene Dahl's personal script, and which was nicely bound in leather with the name of the movie on the spine and the name of the movie and Miss Dahl's name on the cover) has been personally autographed (signed) by FIFTY-EIGHT members of the cast and crew (who signed on the first three interior blank pages). Some wrote long inscriptions to Miss Dahl and quite a few wrote inscriptions of various lengths. The people who signed include: Fernando Lamas (who wrote his inscription on a separate page, and who wrote "Dear Baby, It has been wonderful being with you 24 hours a day. Yo te quiero mucho, Fernando"; this is especially ironic given that this couple married not too long after this movie was made!), Jay Novello, Sheldon Leonard, Hal Herman, Otto Englander, John Brahm, Michael Ansara, Gilbert Roland, Irving Koppel, Jack R. Byrne, Bob Campbell, Ed Robinson Jr., Eugene Lourie, Frank Beetson, Stanley Cortez, Bob Justman, Wanda Brown, Bob Quick, Evelyn Finley, Bill Taylor, and there are thirty-eight other signatures we cannot identify. If anyone knows who else signed this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. So not only is this wonderful for script collectors, because it is certainly a guaranteed original, but it also has all these wonderful guaranteed original autographs within it! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good. The covers have very minor wear, but the interiors and the signed pages are in very nice condition. See our multiple images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this script.
