Date Sold 11/14/2019Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. A 1946 Re-Release (re-titled "Dr. Maniac" for this re-release) Theatrical Movie Photolobby (11x14; LCs; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Man Who Changed His Mind (released in the U.S. as "The Man Who Lived Again" and also as "Dr. Maniac"), the 1936 Robert Stevenson English science fiction (sci-fi) mad scientist fantasy romantic horror melodrama ("Karloff as a Love Crazed Scientist!"; about a scientist who finds a way to "copy" people's brains into another person, so that what you know is not lost when you die; he has a rich benefactor and a beautiful young assistant, and when the benefactor withdraws his support, and the assistant rejects him, it sends him over the edge, and he becomes a "mad scientist"!) starring Boris Karloff, Anna Lee, John Loder, Frank Cellier, Lynn Harding, and Donald Calthrop. Note that this movie is mostly forgotten today, but those who have seen it all agree that it is one of Karloff's best non-monster movies of the 1930s, and that it is quite entertaining and worth seeing! Also note that there is an oddity with this movie, which is that all the first release stills have Anna Lee billed as "Anne Lee"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that on this movie, and on several other releases of the 1930s and 1940s, lesser studios sometimes issued a set of very different looking lobby cards! This was part of a "photolobby" set with a glossy color scene from the movie, and was printed on the type of paper used for 11x14 stills, not the type used for lobby cards. It is possible that some of these movies also had a regular lobby card set, but I believe in most cases there was only a photolobby set. Condition: good. There are creases and light smudges scattered throughout, with tears and a few pinholes around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
