Many of the illustrations were by well-known artists such as Wilhelm Busch, Count Franz Pocci, Hermann Vogel, Carl Spitzweg, Julius Klinger, Edmund Harburger, Adolf Oberlander, August Roeseler and others. It was aimed at the German bourgeoisie and reached a maximum circulation of 95,000 copies by 1895. August Roeseler was a German painter, draftsman, etcher and caricaturist, known as the 'dachshund painter". He provided illustrations and caricatures for the Fliegende Blatter, Jugend and Simplicissimus. His works were dedicated to the Munich petty bourgeoisie. Dogs often appeared in his works, especially dachshunds, which earned him his nickname. Condition: very good. The poster was never folded.
