An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded English Double Crown Movie Poster (DC; measures 19 3/4" x 30" [50 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Marnie, the 1964 Alfred Hitchcock romantic mystery kleptomaniac suspense thriller ("Only Alfred Hitchcock could have created so suspenseful a sex mystery!"; "Alfred Hitchcock's suspenseful sex mystery!"; "'You don't love me - I'm just some kind of wild animal you've trapped!'"; "'That's right, Marnie... I've caught you, and by heaven, I'm going to keep you!"; "Screenplay by Jay Presson Allen"; "From the Novel by Winston Graham"; about a man marrying a habitual thief in order to try and help her, but he also rapes her, and I'm not sure how that helps!) starring Tippi Hedren (in the title role as Marnie), Sean Connery, Diane Baker, Martin Gabel, and Louise Latham NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster measures very slightly under 20" x 30", and it is most likely the very rare double crown from this movie's first 1964 release in England (it being from 1964 was confirmed for us by Sim Branaghan, the world's foremost expert on English posters). Not only have we never seen this poster before, but we also could not find any example of it on the Internet, which confirms just how rare it is! It has the wonderful tagline that says that "not even MR. HITCHCOCK" is allowed in during the last 10 minutes, and we have not seen that tagline before (and that phrase was not used on the first release regular "horizontal" quad, although it was used on an equally rare special "vertical" 40x30 quad). Note that this English double crown measures 19 3/4" x 30" [50 x 76 cm]. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster was folded once in each direction. It has some creases and scuffs around the edges, with a few scattered throughout the image, including a rough crease in the background just above the "N" of "SEAN" and a horizontal crease extending into Connery's hair and forehead (see our image).
