A Group of 5 Original Vintage Movie Studio Letterheads (each measures 8 1/2" x 11") (Learn More) Saul Bass was an American artist and director from the 1940s to the 1990s. Saul is famous for his artwork on many great movie posters and being an Academy Award winning director. Some of his works include: Exodus, Anatomy of a Murder, Vertigo, Bonjour Tristesse, Saint Joan, and the Man with the Golden Arm Artist: Saul Bass Important Added Info: Note that this auction is for five 8 1/2" x 11" sheets that have Saul Bass letterheads on them. They are for three different movies. One is a 3-page letter from a man who worked on "Spartacus" to his parents, and each sheet is on Spartacus letterheads, one is from Otto Preminger when he was working on "Such Good Friends" and is on the letterhead from that movie, and the third is from Otto Preminger when he was working on "The Human Factor", and it has the letterhead for that movie. The two Preminger letters have signatures that appear to be genuine Otto Preminger signatures (they are similar to each other and they are very similar to examples of his signature we have seen). Saul Bass designed each of these letterheads. Note that this is one of fifteen Saul Bass related items we were consigned from a very longtime Saul Bass collector. While Saul Bass did some incredibly memorable movie posters (including Vertigo and Anatomy of a Murder), much of his work only appeared in print ads, often in exhibitor magazines, and locating those ads (either in the magazine, or cut out of them) is incredibly difficult, because the magazines only went to theater owners, and virtually no one saved them! This is a great opportunity to obtain extremely rare Saul Bass items. Condition: good to very good. The "Human Factor" letterhead is in pretty nice condition.
