Artist: S.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a very rare first release Hungarian insert poster that is from 1942, when this movie was first released in Hungary. We know this because there is a "41" in the top right corner, with an "S" above it, which is the date the art was created and the initial of the artist, and a leading Hungarian poster expert confirms that the movie was released in Hungary on January 30, 1942 (he got that information from a program guide to Hungarian movies). So the poster was created at the end of 1941 and the movie was released in January of 1942. Also, the poster has been trimmed on the right side, but has a thin border on the left side and the bottom (with a larger blank area at the top). The Hungarian poster expert tells us that the posters of this size that were printed in Hungary at this time were trimmed to the art on the left, right, and bottom (the blank area at the top was for play date information, as with U.S. window cards). He tells us that this poster was trimmed as was normally done on the right side, but that it escaped trimming on the left and bottom (he does not know why). In the past, we have auctioned two Hungarian inserts that were from 1939 and 1942, and they also were trimmed on the left, right, and bottom borders, so that confirms that what the expert told us is correct. We have never seen another example of this poster, and we likely never will! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The right blank border of this poster was trimmed, but the left and bottom borders were not (see above). There are brown dot stains in the "BOSSZUJA" of the title and many light horizontal folds evenly spaced in the poster. The poster has never had any restoration. It certainly can be displayed and enjoyed as it is, or one could choose to have it backed and restored.
