An Original Vintage Folded Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More)

I Gialli Edgar Wallace N.4 (literally translates to "The Edgar Wallace Mysteries No.4"), the 1960s Italian double-bill of Candidate for Murder, the 1961 David Villiers English kidnapping mystery crime thriller (based on the Edgar Wallace story; "Edgar Wallace's Mystery Thriller!") starring Michael Gough, Erika Remberg, Hans von Borsody (billed as "Hans Borsody"), John Justin, and Paul Whitsun-Jones AND Never Back Losers, the 1961 (released in the U.S. in 1967) Robert Tronson English horse race crime thriller melodrama starring Jack Hedley, Jacqueline Ellis, Patrick Magee, Richard Warner, and Derek Francis. Note that these were one of many short movies that were filmed in England in the 1960s, and were released to theaters there as second bill movies (like American B-movies of the 1950s). In 1960, an American distributor acquired the rights to these movies (there were approximately 50 of them) and they released them as a TV series in the U.S. called "The Edgar Wallace Mystery Theatre". The U.S. series added another 20 episodes that were likely not based on Edgar Wallace mysteries! We know several pairs of these movies were joined together into "features" that were released in Italy, but we don't know if they was also released in any other country that way. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
