A 1936 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) A Connecticut Yankee by Mark Twain, the 1931 David Butler fantasy time travel comedy spoof ("By Mark Twain"; about a small town man who meets an inventor who thinks he can contact King Arthur by radio; after the typical "bump on the head", Rogers wakes up in the real life Camelot, and has many adventures before returning to the present day; as in "The Wizard of Oz", the Camelot characters and the present day characters are played by the same actors) starring Will Rogers, Maureen O'Sullivan (in her fifth movie, and she is second billed!), Myrna Loy, Frank Albertson, William Farnum (as King Arthur/Inventor), and Brandon Hurst (as Merlin/Doctor) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
