Vignola silent political high society romantic melodrama ("From the story by Samuel Merwin"; about an ex-con who becomes a newspaper reporter under an assumed name; he exposes corruption behind the trustees of an estate and is fired, but is later hired by the state's heiress to write her dead father's biography; they fall in love but soon the man discovers more truths about the corruption and he is pursued by the trustees and is exposed as an ex-con, but the heiress stays by his side and they marry and he gains control over the estate!) starring Matt Moore, Mary Newcomb, Julia Swayne Gordon, Tom Guise, Frankie Mann, and Rubye De Remer NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Water Color Co. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning (and we have only auctioned one still and one glass slide for this movie ever!) Note also that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: very good. There is staining in the top left corner. There are two small tears in the left blank border. There are some smudges and minor other defects in the rest of the borders. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and the poster is in excellent condition and it is not fragile, which is very unusual for a nearly 100 year old half-sheet! Learn More about condition grades
