An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Rio Grande, the 1949 Norman Sheldon Texas cowboy western ("Roaring into Rio Grande country, Sunset Carson battles trigger-crazed land barons!!!", "Six-gun fury rages, as one of the most fabulous figures of the west shoots his way into Rio Grande country!!!") starring Sunset Carson ("and his horse Cactus, Jr."), Evohn Keyes, Lee Morgan, Bobby Clark, Bob Deats, Henry Garcia, Walter Calmbach Jr., Maria Louisa Marulanda, Curley Rucker, Don Gray, Houston Teehee, Frank Lawver, Carmen Grasso, Neil Levang, and Morry Levang. Note that, like most B-western cowboys, Sunset Carson had had a specific horse in his westerns, named Cactus (but sadly, Cactus was not billed like the more famous horses of Roy Rogers and so many others!). Something must have happened to Cactus at the end of the 1940s, because in this movie, he now had "Cactus, Jr.", and oddly, Cactus Jr. was given billing, where his "dad" never was! If anyone knows more about Cactus or Cactus Jr., please e-mail us and we will post it here.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.

Condition: good to very good. There is a 1" tear in the lower right edge of the card that has been repaired with tape from the back.
