Robert Woolsey and a thousand other operatic voices and glorified beauties in gorgeous costumes and settings"; "The motion picture of the century... the Eighth Wonder of the World"; "Mammoth scenes in Technicolor"; "Story by Guy Bolton and Fred Thompson"; one of the earliest big budget musicals of the sound era, the first from RKO Radio; as usual, there is a throwaway plot involving Bebe Daniels as a Hispanic girl with a notorious bandit brother, which serves to tie together the many songs, and Wheeler & Woolsey are along for comic relief; the movie was a huge success, and after this movie, Wheeler & Woolsey appeared in a string of movies together throughout the 1930s) starring Bebe Daniels (in the title role as Rita Ferguson), John Boles, Bert Wheeler & Robert Woolsey (Wheeler & Woolsey), Dorothy Lee, and Don Alvarado. Note that this movie contained a Technicolor sequence, and it still exists. Also note that the movie was remade in 1942, with Abbott & Costello in the Wheeler & Woolsey roles! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Not only that, we have auctioned only a window card and some lobby cards, stills and smaller items, but never any other posters for this movie! Note also that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 13 1/2" x 36" [34 x 91 cm]. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. 1/2" was unevenly trimmed from the right blank border, but, while it comes close to the edge of the image in a few places, only blank white paper is affected. The middle fold was entirely separated and someone put tape on the back of that and also tape on the back of the separation at the left edge of the bottom fold and there is a 1 1/2" diagonal tear beneath that. There are brown stains in parts of the left border and some wear on the folds (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
