Date Sold 9/27/2009Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Go West, Young Man, the 1918 Harry Beaumont silent cowboy western comedy (story and screenplay "by Willard Mack"; the movie "Destry Rides Again" borrowed heavily from this movie, which deals with a gentle son of a rich man who goes to a western town, and is appointed sheriff by the crooks who run the town, because they think he will be ineffective, but he surprises them by cleaning up the town) starring Tom Moore, Ora Carew, Melbourne MacDowell, Jack Richardson, and Mollie McConnell. Note that the title of this movie is the famous Horace Greeley maxim, but it has nothing to do with that other than that the star in the movie does in fact move from the east to the west! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. When we auction slides that have a cardboard holder, we provide a separate image of how the cardboard holder looks, but when we auction slides with the black tape (like this one) we only provide the scan of the glass slide image, because that really is about all there is to see. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
