An Undated (probably 1926 or 1927) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Folded Swedish Movie Poster (measures 23" x 35") (Learn More)

Luffarpetter (released in the U.S. as "Peter the Tramp"), the 1922 Erik A. Petschler Swedish silent comedy starring Anna Brandt, Erik A. Petschler, Valdemar Dalquist, and Greta Garbo (a very young 16 in this role!). Note that this was Greta Garbo's first real movie (she appeared in some short films prior to this)!
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this Swedish movie! Also note that the very first release poster for this movie would almost surely not have mentioned or pictured Greta Garbo, since she only had a small part in the movie. This poster likely dates to around 1926 or 1927, when Garbo achieved stardom in the United States. It is currently a common practice for distributors to find early movies of stars before they became famous, and re-released them as if that person starred in that movie, and apparently it was common practice in the mid-1920s as well!

Condition: good to very good. there are very light water stains down the center of the image (fortunately in the background area to the left of Garbo); there is a 1 1/2" tear in the right of the middle fold; the poster was folded in half an extra time and there are also many light diagonal creases between the folds; there are creases, a few faint water stains, and a few tiny tears around the edges of the poster; there is a 1/2" tear on the middle foldline to the left of Garbo's figure and there are creases along most foldlines
