An INCOMPLETE Original Vintage Folded Three-Sheet Poster (3sh; measures 20 1/4" x 67" [51 x 170 cm]) (Learn More) The Great Walt Disney Festival of Hits, the 1940 compilation release of five of Walt Disney's greatest animated animation cartoons ("Laugh! Sing! Shout with joy! Here comes the fun treat of the year!"; "Glorious entertainment!"; "Combined on one glorious bill"; "Combined! In one big feast of glorious entertainment!"; "Here they are! The greatest pictures Disney ever made!"). The five movies that were shown in this "five bill" were: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ("Hit No. 1"), Ferdinand, The Bull ("Hit No. 2"), Three Little Pigs in The Practical Pig ("Hit No. 3"), The Ugly Duckling ("Hit No. 4"), and Donald's Lucky Day ("Hit No. 5"). Note that original movie paper from this "five bill" is INCREDIBLY rare, far more rare than that of Snow White's first release (likely because this compilation release only played in a limited number of theaters). We have seen the pressbook, so we know that a full set of movie paper was created for this release (including a full set of 8 lobby cards), but very few posters or lobby cards have ever surfaced! We also know from the pressbook that four of the lobby cards are from Snow White, and that the other four cards are one each from the other four titles! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster is INCREDIBLY WEIRD! It appears that a theater had the three-sheet for this 1940 re-release, but wanted to create a paper banner for just the Snow White portion of it, so they cut up the three-sheet and re-pasted portions of it together into this weird poster that looks like a paper banner and measures 20 1/4" x 67" [51 x 170 cm]. So while the pieces of the poster are studio printed, this is a homemade poster from pieces of the studio poster. Of course, first release posters from this festival of hits are extremely rare, and we highly doubt that any poster larger than a one-sheet survives, but please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept all that is written above. Condition: fair. The theater that created this poster glued pieces from the original three-sheet together (see above). Learn More about condition grades
