An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Schoolday Love, the 1922 William Campbell silent juvenile family animal adventure comedy short (which not only had young kids in it, but also monkeys and other animals!) starring Coy Watson (billed as "Coy Watson Jr."), Doreen Turner, Lawrence Licalzi, Jack Cooper, Pal the Dog, Dave Morris, and Maude the Mule. Apparently this was intended to be the first of a series of shorts from Educational Pictures starring kids (and it came out in January 1922, which predates the short "Our Gang"), but for unknown reasons, it never came to be a series. It even had an adorable dog called "Pal the Dog"! The star of the series was Coy Watson, who apparently missed his chance at stardom when this series did not catch on. He was 9 when this movie came out, and he continued making movies until he was 17, mostly in uncredited roles toward the end, but then he left the business (and that apparently agreed with him, because he lived all the way until 2009, when he passed away at 96)! If anyone knows more about any of this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a different example of this scene card from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received this lobby card! We are also currently auctioning a different scene card in a separate auction. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. There are a few tack holes and faint smudges around the edges. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
