An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Hat Check Girl, the 1932 Sidney Lanfield New York City nightclub romantic comedy ("From the novel by Rian James"; about a beautiful young girl making a living as a hat check girl in a fancy nightclub frequented by criminals and bootleggers, and she meets a drunk millionaire and falls for him) starring Sally Eilers (in the title role), Ben Lyon, Ginger Rogers, Arthur Pierson, and Monroe Owsley. Note that this was one of the many films Ginger Rogers had relatively small roles in at the start of her career. The following year, she would be in both 42nd Street and Gold Diggers of 1933, which would jump start her career! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. We have only previously auctioned a title lobby card, a pressbook, and two stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this three-sheet! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on many parts of some folds, with many light scuffs scattered in parts of the image. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
