Chang and Fak-Hong's United Magicians Presents Hara-Kiri, the circa 1920s Spanish magic show poster featuring a great artwork image of a magician summoning spirits from an urn, with an owl, a bunny, and an open book on the same pedestal as the urn, and bats flying overhead with a creepy shadow being cast of the magician. Note that magician Fak-Hong & illusionist Chang (who was actually from Panama) performed throughout Europe in the 1920s and early 1930s!. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had a 4" vertical tear in the right of the bottom border, extending into the bottom right corner of the image. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was not correctly backed, and it is lightly "bubbling" from the linen in the center and in a few other areas (any restorer could properly re-glue those areas without re-backing the poster).
