An Original 1927 Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Pietro Der Korsar (released in the U.S. in 1927 as "Peter the Pirate"), the 1925 Arthur Robison German silent swashbuckling adventure romantic melodrama (based on the novel by Wilhelm Hegeler) starring Paul Richter (in the title role as Pietro/Peter), Aud Egede-Nissen, Rudolf Klein-Rogge, Fritz Richard, and Frida Richard. Note that this movie was made in Germany by UFA, the giant German production company. It was released in the U.S. as "Peter the Pirate" and in England as "The Sea Wolves", and apparently was released somewhere as "The Love Pirate" (because that is how the IMDb has it entered, but that could just be a mistake). While we can find the cast and crew on the movie, we can't find any synopsis, and we wonder if the movie is lost. We found a reference in Wikipedia that says that Leni Riefenstahl was given a screen test for the female lead (because producer Erich Pommer liked her), but that she later turned the role down. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
