An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 12" x 18"; 7 pages) (Learn More) F.P.1 (also released as "F.P.1 Doesn't Answer"), the 1932 Karl Hartl English/French/German airplane aviation science fiction (sci-fi) thriller (based on the novel by Curt Siodmak, who also wrote the screenplay!) starring Leslie Fenton, Conrad Veidt, Jill Esmond, George Merritt, and Donald Calthrop. This was the English version of this movie, made by Gaumont British Picture Corporation (there was also a French version and a German version). Universal did the same thing with "Dracula" in 1931. They filmed the movie twice, once in English, and once in Spanish, with two entirely different casts, U.S. actors for the English version and mostly Latin actors for the Spanish version, obviously for release in Spanish speaking countries, and the same was done with this movie, except it was released in German, English, and French (the French language version, "I.F.1 ne repond plus", starred Charles Boyer and Daniele Parola, and the German version, "F.P.1 Antwortet Nicht" starred Hans Albers and Peter Lorre). Condition: fair to good. There is one small ad cut out from one interior page, and three small ads cut out in another interior page. It is possible this pressbook is incomplete, since it is designed in an unusual way, with a single-sided cover and interior pages that are stapled to the top of the cover (but it does not seem to be incomplete because the last interior page contains images of the one-sheet and three-sheet with a list of other sizes).
