An Original 1921 (from the first release of this movie in the U.S.) Vintage Movie Program (measures 6" x 9 1/2" [15 x 24 cm]; 8 pages) (Learn More)

Der Golem, Wie er in die Welt Kam (released in the U.S. in 1921 as "The Golem"), the classic 1920 Carl Boese & Paul Wegener German silent fantasy horror thriller (written by Paul Wegener and Henrik Galeen) starring Paul Wegener (in the title role as the Golem), Albert Steinruck (as the Rabbi who creates the Golem), Lyda Salmonova, Ernst Deutsch, Hans Sturm, and Max Kronert

Important Added Info: Note that this is a program created by a local theater for the films they were showing during the week of October 17, 1921. It has two pages on "Mother O' Mine", which played during that week, and it also had two pages on "No Woman Knows", which was coming on October 27 through 29, but the entire cover of the cover and an interior two-page spread were devoted to the movie coming the following week, which was "The Golem"! Apparently, the theater owners knew that there would be HUGE interest in this movie, and they had a great artwork image on the cover, plus an interior two-page story, with a picture of Paul Wegener as the artificial man made of clay. First release movie paper of any kind from this classic horror movie is beyond rare. This local theater program can be a very attractive alternative to any collector looking for something first release from this movie, and of course, it could be framed either with the cover showing or with one or both of the interior pages showing! Also note that we have provided an image of four of the pages of this 8-page program (we did this by opening it and laying it flat and photographing the front and back cover together, and two of the interior pages together). You can see the four of the 8 pages, and can well determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image, but realize that there are 4 pages you are not seeing. But of course this means that the front cover appears in the top right of our image, but normally, the program would be folded down the center and you would view the cover by itself (and it will be sent folded as was originally intended).

Condition: very good. The program was folded down the middle at one time. There are slight rust stains at the staples. Otherwise, the program is in pretty nice condition!
