Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (measures approximately 13" x 30") (Learn More) Ian Fleming's Goldfinger, the classic 1964 Guy Hamilton English James Bond 007 spy espionage fantasy action adventure thriller ("James Bond is back in action!"; "Everything he touches turns to excitement!!!"; based on the novels by Ian Fleming) starring Sean Connery ("as Agent 007"), Honor Blackman ("as Pussy Galore"), Gert Frobe (in the title role; billed as "Gert Frobe as Goldfinger"), Harold Sakata (as "Oddjob"), Shirley Eaton (as Jill Masterson, the woman covered in gold paint in the film), Tania Mallet (as Tilly Masterson), Bernard Lee (as "M"), Margaret Nolan (as the girl who provides the background for the main titles, the "nude gold girl" on posters, and also as "Dink", one of the Bond girls!), Nadja Regin, Gerry Duggan, Lois Maxwell (as Moneypenny), Richard Vernon, and Cec Linder NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. We are also selling a daybill from a 1980s re-release elsewhere on eBay this week. Condition: good. apparently this poster was considered far too sexy for New Zealand audiences (where this poster was used). Some fanatical censor stenciled a giant black block over all of the top image, leaving only the two stars' heads! They cleverly put a cut-out "007" in the stencil (and also a "A" ratings letter), so that it wouldn't appear that they had blacked out as much image! They also created a black stencil in the middle of the poster that covered the offensive portions of the nude dead girl, and again, cleverly made the stencil so that it looks to be an intentional "3-D effect" going off of the box with Connery's face! Somebody in New Zealand had WAY WAY too much time on their hands! If the poster bothered them that much, they should have just thrown them out! Anyway, I guess some people might consider that these stencils detract greatly from this poster, but I think they are pretty cool! I guess that it is just up to the bidders to decide whether it is a major detraction or not. Other than the stencils, the poster has a few pairs of staple holes around the edges as well as some minor creases and scuffs throughout. Learn More about condition grades
