It is entirely in English, even though it was printed in Japan, because it was sent to exhibitors in the U.S. and other English-speaking countries, trying to get them to book these Japanese movies. The book does not promote individual movies, but rather it is an encyclopedia of information about Japanese studios, directors, and actors, and there are images of many of the leading people in each of those areas (including Kurosawa and Mifune), and lists of "Who's Who" in the Japanese motion picture industry, lists of the theaters, lists of the Japanese pictures released in 1955 and 1956, and much more. Note that the cover of this book feature the famous Hokusai artwork titled "The Great Wave off Kanagawa". This book is surely quite rare!
