An Original Vintage 5" x 7" [13 x 18 cm] Fan Photo, with facsimile signature, mounted to 8" x 10" display (Learn More) Pearl White was an actress from the 1910s to the 1920s. Some of her movies include: The Perils of Pauline (in the title role), The Missing Bridegroom, and The House of Hate. She is of course the most famous female silent serial star, but after many injuries from her roles, she decided that she wanted to quit serials, and she turned to "serious acting", but she became addicted to painkillers, and she retired in 1924 and passed away in 1938, when she was just 49. Important Added Info: Note that this fan photo (which is printed on thin paper stock, and is 100% certainly an original vintage photo from the 1920s) was glued at the top to an 8" x 10" board and then a fan typed a biography of her and glued it to the right of that (this display was likely created in the 1980s). These fan photos were sent to fans who wrote to their favorite stars from the 1910s to the early 1930s (each has a facsimile autograph of the star and is printed on a quality paper stock. Studios stopped sending these great photos at some point in the very early 1930s, likely because of the Great Depression and their need to cut back on expenses! Condition: good to very good.
