Note that Alfred Hitchcock used the two taglines "The birds is coming!" and "The birds is here!" on several different types of advertising for this movie, no doubt because he thought it was funny that while it is technically grammatically correct when referring to the movie, they "sound wrong"! Important Added Info: Note that this Canadian one-sheet measures 28 1/4" x 39 3/4" [72 x 101 cm]. Also note that this is a teaser one-sheet (note the complete lack of credits on the poster). Note that we can't say for certain that this poster is Canadian, or that it is untrimmed, because it has very small borders, and does not measure a standard size. We have only ever seen this poster once other than now, and that was six years ago at another auction, where they described it as a Canadian advance one-sheet, measuring 27" x 41" (and if so, it was trimmed, although they did not say so). This poster was consigned to us from Canada, so that would lend support to the notion that it is "Canadian", but there is nothing on the poster to indicate that. Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and extra creases, tears, smudges, and scuffs along all the foldlines. It had tears and paper loss in the corners, with a few in the rest of the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
