An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Sunny Side Up (released in England as "Footlights"), the 1926 Donald Crisp silent romantic love triangle theater stage acting melodrama ("from the novel 'Sunny Ducrow' by Henry St. John Cooper"; about a woman who has a male best friend, and she gets involved with a stage producer, but he has an estranged wife, and just when they are about to get married, the wife returns and refuses to divorce her husband, so the woman who can't marry the husband decides to marry her best friend, but he too has gotten married, but fortunately, the estranged wife is killed in a car wreck, so the happy couple can wed!) starring Vera Reynolds (in the title role as Sunny), Edmund Burns, Zasu Pitts, Ethel Clayton, and George K. Arthur. Note that this movie bears no relationship to the 1929 movie "Sunny Side Up", and it also bears no relationship to the 1921 movie "Footlights", even though this movie was released in England under that title. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has not been backed or restored, and it could conceivably be rolled, but it would damage it because it is fragile, so we will have to send it in an oversized flat package that measures approximately 18" x 38". Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Most of these items absolutely can only be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. Some of them might SEEM like they could be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet, but they can't. The reason these items are in this auction is specifically because they CAN'T be rolled (because rolling any of them would damage them, even if they somehow can be rolled). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item when ready for shipping), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. Condition: poor to fair. The poster was never folded. It has darkened and the bottom 8" has many stains. It has a tear running diagonally in the bottom image that runs through the head of the girl, and there is 1" x 2" of paper loss in that area. Someone performed very amateur restoration to that tear and paper loss, but otherwise left the poster as it is. The poster is in MUCH lesser condition, so bear that in mind before bidding.
