An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Fight That Ghost, the 1946 Sam Newfield Toddy Pictures black African American horror comedy ("A Full-Length Feature Special"; "A thriller-filler of laffs... thrills and chills"; produced by Ted Toddy; about two men who are failures in business, and then it looks like life is finally turning around for them when a man offers them a lot of money, but to get it, they have to spend the night in a spooky house they soon find is haunted!) starring Dewey 'Pigmeat' Markham (billed as "Pigmeat 'Alamo' Markham"), John 'Rastus' Murray, William Dillard, Alberta Pryme, Percy Verwayen, and David Beathea If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a three-sheet (17 years ago), six lobby cards, and a few 8x10 stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this one-sheet! We have no idea why this particular title from Toddy Pictures is so incredibly rare, when so many other Toddy titles are easily located, but whatever the reason, this may well be the only one-sheet we have on this title for many years to come! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. A very thin strip of the right blank border was trimmed off, becoming slightly larger at the bottom, but only blank white paper was affected. The poster had paper loss in the upper left border extending into the brim of the man's hat, with a diagonal crease running through the upper part of his face to the top crossfold. There was tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some small tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
