An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Campaign Book (measures 5 3/4" x 8 1/4" [15 x 21 cm]; 66 pages) (Learn More) Shorts Heard Around The World, the 1931 campaign book featuring full-color images, artwork, and information about comedy shorts from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) with descriptions of each short story line and the stars in them. There is a great 2-page silver and black image of all the MGM short stars walking around a ring around the Earth, and the art is by Al Hirschfeld, and it is on both the inside front cover and the inside back cover (the same image on both). There is really wonderful art and images on many pages, and one of the pages has a John Held Jr. crowd of kids staring at an actual Our Gang one-sheet, 4 pages on Laurel and Hardy with Hirschfeld art, a great 4-page illustrated ad for Flip the Frog by Ub Iwerks, and much more! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. There is separation at the bottom of the spine and minor wear on the covers.
