An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (printed in Spanish in the U.S. for Spanish speaking audiences; 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Piernas De Seda, the 1935 John Boland, Enrique De Rosas & Miguel de Zarraga romantic comedy (likely a remake of the 1927 Fox romantic comedy, "Silk Legs") starring Rosita Moreno, Raul Roulien, Enrique DeRosas, Francisco Morena, and Romualdo Tirado. Apparently, Fox made this movie in Spanish with Spanish actors, but released it as a regular movie within the U.S. (and the one-sheet for the movie is printed in the U.S.A., and looks like any other Fox one-sheet of the time, EXCEPT that it has all Spanish writing). This was in the days after the great success of "Flying Down to Rio" and when U.S. studios were thinking there would be a huge South American market for American movies, so maybe it was during that time that this movie was made, intended for South American audiences, and Spanish speaking U.S. audiences. Perhaps it was also released in an English language version, but if so, I have not been able to determine that. If anyone has anymore information about this very unusual movie (or this entire subject), please e-mail us and we will post it here.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences.

Condition: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the top crossfold. There were stains and pinholes in the top 1/4 of the vertical foldline and minor wear on the other folds and some minor border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well, but you can see some signs of restoration on the foldlines.
