An Undated (probably 1940s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Missing Girls, the 1936 Phil Rosen gambling politics kidnapping gangster murder crime thriller ("Martin Mooney's Daring Expose") starring Roger Pryor, Muriel Evans, Sidney Blackmer, Noel Madison, Ann Doran, and George Cooper. The title of this movie is pretty deceptive, because the "missing girls" are only a small part of the movie, which mostly concerns a senator who wants to legalize gambling in his state, and the gamblers who run the gambling shoot him to kill the bill, and then pin the murder on someone else. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that poster credits "Sack Amusement Enterprises" as the distributor of this movie. Sack Amusements distributed (mostly) first run movies in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas through the "states rights" system of distribution. We believe this poster to be from the first release of the movie in 1936. If anyone knows more about this poster or Sack Amusement, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: fair. The poster is very brittle and there is much tattering, separation, and some paper loss throughout (mostly along the foldlines). Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects!
