Important Added Info: Note that this great set reference still has a visible clapboard in the image that gives the details about the movie. The studios would use these images for reference if they needed to shoot additional footage at a later time after the set was taken down. What is unusual with this set reference still is that it has two men sitting on the stairs. Most times, set reference photos have no people in them. On rare occasions, actors from the movie would be captured within those photos, and sometimes it would be crew members. In this case, we don't think the two men are actors or crew members. We showed this photo to many major movie buffs, and some suggested one of the men might be William Cameron Menzies, the set designer, and others suggested that one of the men might be either Victor Fleming or George Cukor (who started directing, and Victor Fleming took over for him). If anyone knows more about who either of the two men are, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good to very good. There are many creases and a few tiny stains around the edges. There is a diagonal crease in the top right of the image, and a few other creases scattered within the image, but most of the defects are around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
