An Original Vintage 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Still (Learn More)

Brian Epstein was a British music entrepreneur who managed the Beatles from 1962 until his death in 1967. He first met the Beatles in 1961 at a lunchtime concert at Liverpool's Cavern Club. Although he had no experience of artist management, Epstein put them under contract and insisted that they abandon their scruffy image in favor of a new clean-cut style. He also attempted to get the Beatles a recording contract, eventually securing a deal with EMI's Parlophone label. Some of Epstein's other discoveries include Gerry and the Pacemakers, Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas, Tommy Quickly, Cilla Black and The Big Three. In 1967, he died of a combined alcohol and barbiturate overdose, ruled as accidental, at the age of 32. AND The Four Tops are a black African American quartet from the 1950s to the present. They helped define Motown in the 1960s and their members have included Levi Stubbs, Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson and Lawrence Payton. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked them #79 on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
Important Added Info: Note that this is one of sixteen great stills we were consigned that all show black African American musical performers. IN THE CASE OF THIS STILL, WHAT IS SO COOL IS THAT THE SINGING GROUP IS SHOWN TOGETHER WITH BRIAN EPSTEIN, WHO, OF COURSE, BECAME INCREDIBLY FAMOUS DUE TO HIS CONNECTION WITH THE BEATLES. Such stills are extremely rare. All are clearly originals and most have information on the back indicating that they were publicity stills. In several cases, we have never had any other stills showing these performers, so this is a very rare chance to purchase one or more of these!

Condition: very good to fine.
